At last, G-7 govs join APC

There are strong indications that the
seven aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have finally joined the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
APC leaders had toured the states of the aggrieved governors wooing them to join the party with a promise of a fair deal.
Reports indicate that the G-7 governors resolved to join the APC leadership during crucial closed door meeting with the leaders of APC in Abuja this morning.
The meeting which reportedly began by 9.30am at Kano Governor's Lodge followed a similar one by the governors that ended at midnight.
Those present at the meeting are include a former head of state, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), the National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Five of the G-7 governors present at meeting include Governors Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, Murtala Nyako of Taraba State, , Aliyu Wammako of Sokoto State, Abdulfatai Ahmed of Kwara State and Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State.
Others present were ex-Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, ex-Governor Bukola Saraki and Imam Kashim among others.
It was not clear at the time of this report what was the position of Gov Babangida Aliyu of NigerState and Sule Lamido of Jigawa State.
But earlier reports indicated that they were cold on leaving the party which they helped build....
